HAZMAT Responder

Course Overview

Participants will be provided with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond to an incident involving dangerous goods and hazardous substances, identify and assess the associated hazards and risks and contribute to the development, implementation and review of the plan constructed to mitigate the risk they pose to life, property and the environment.

LRM deliver this training over 2 days in actual industrial environments utilising industry best practice methodologies, state of the art equipment and Trainers who are current industry professionals.


On successful completion of training, participants will be awarded the following nationally recognised units of competence:

  • PUAFIR320 Render hazardous materials incidents safe

  • PUAFIR308B Employ personal protection at a hazardous materials incident


PUAFIR215 Prevent Injury
