Qualification Overview

This qualification reflects the role of senior fire, rescue and response team members who are trained to respond to emergencies, undertake search and rescue, operate breathing apparatus and deal with hazardous and/or highly dangerous situations in a team environment.

LRM deliver this qualification over 14 days in actual industrial environments utilising industry best practice methodologies, state of the art equipment and Trainers who are current industry professionals.



On successful completion of training, participants will be awarded the following nationally recognised qualification:

  • PUA40319 Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision)

Your qualification will include the following nationally accredited units of competence (11):

  • PUAOPE015 Conduct briefings and debriefings

  • PUAOPE012 Control a level 1 incident

  • PUATEA003 Lead, manage and develop teams

  • PUAEMR022 Establish context for emergency risk assessment 

  • PUAFIR405 Collect, analyse and provide regulatory information

  • PUAFIR410 Provide safety advise at a rural/land management incident

  • PUAFIR412 Conduct simple prescribed burn plans

  • PUAFIR413 Develop simple prescribed burn plans

  • PUAFIR414 Interpret and analyse fire weather information

  • PUAMAN002 Administer work group resources

  • PUAOPE016 Manage a multi-team sector


$6,300 per participant (GST not applicable)

If you enrol to undertake the full qualification, LRM would be pleased to offer a 10% discount reducing your total investment to $5,670.

Please note that if you already hold one or more units (obtained within the last 3 years), LRM will provide a direct credit towards your qualification at no additional cost. This will reduce your total investment further together with the course duration.
