Qualification Overview

This qualification reflects the role of fire and rescue team members required to respond to emergencies, undertake search and rescue, operate breathing apparatus and deal with hazardous and/or highly dangerous situations in a team environment.

LRM deliver this qualification over 8 days in actual industrial environments utilising industry best practice methodologies, state of the art equipment and Trainers who are current industry professionals.

 

Certification

On successful completion of training, participants will be awarded the following nationally recognised qualification:

  • PUA20719 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations)

Your qualification will include the following nationally accredited units of competence (11):

  • PUAEQU001 Prepare, maintain and test response equipment

  • PUAFIR204 Respond to wildfire

  • PUAFIR210 Prevent injury

  • PUATEA001 Work in a team

  • PUAOPE013 Operate communications systems and equipment

  • PUAFIR207 Operate breathing apparatus open circuit

  • PUAFIR209 Work safely around aircraft

  • PUAFIR213 Assist with prescribed burning

  • PUAFIR214 Use class A foam in wildfire operations and non-structural applications

  • FPICOT2239 Trim and cut felled trees

  • FPICOT2236 Fall trees manually – basic

Investment

$3,905 per participant (GST not applicable)

If you enrol to undertake the full qualification, LRM would be pleased to offer a 10% discount reducing your total investment to $3,550.

Please note that if you already hold one or more units (obtained within the last 3 years), LRM will provide a direct credit towards your qualification at no additional cost. This will reduce your total investment further together with the course duration.
